VII. National TDK Forum

The National Scientific Students' Association Council held its 7th National TDK Forum at Széchenyi István University.

The 7th National TDK Forum took place with over 250 participants, co-organized by Széchenyi István University (SZE) and the National Scientific Students' Association Council (OTDT). During the two-day professional event, leaders of domestic higher education and ministries discussed the future directions of scientific students' association work and talent management.

Key takeaways from the forum:

  • Motivating youth: The Scientific Students' Association (TDK) plays a crucial role in motivating students, as it provides a prestigious professional platform to present and compete with their initial research results.

  • The power of community: The movement is not only a professional stepping stone but also possesses an immense power to retain communities. Institutional collaboration is essential in guiding talented young people toward research careers.

  • Institutional and state support: Participants emphasized that in the future, universities must integrate talent management even more effectively into their degree programs and faculty recognition systems, a goal to which the higher education administration and the scientific academy provide committed support.

The event concluded with the shared consensus that the future of Hungarian higher education, scientific life, and the national economy equally depend on high-quality professional succession and the successful retention of young talents.
