Earn 5 Credits Through Academic Research!

In the autumn semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, students have the opportunity to enrol in an optional module with continuous assessment designed to support student research work. The aim of this module is to encourage joint research and publication efforts between students and academic staff.

• Ensure professional development with the support of an academic supervisor.

• An excellent opportunity to build your CV and gain publication experience.

Module Details These are consultation-based modules and do not include regular contact hours. Both modules (I and II) can be completed during your studies, provided that a different academic output is produced in each semester (for example, a TDK research paper in one semester, and a journal article in the next). Undergraduate (BSc/BA) programmes: Introduction to Innovation and Research Communication (I, II)

• Full-time programme codes: KGNB_VKTM018 and KGNB_VKTM019

Postgraduate (MSc/MA) degree programmes: Innovation and Research Communication (I, II)

Requirements for Completion To earn the credits, you must achieve ONE of the following academic outputs:

• Produce and present a scientific research paper at the institutional TDK conference or the National Scientific Students' Associations Conference (OTDK).

• Publish a paper in the proceedings of an international conference.

• Submit an accepted article to a Q-ranked (Quartile) academic journal.

Enrolment Process Module registration does NOT take place in the Neptun system during the standard enrolment period. You must register for the module in the semester in which your chosen academic output is expected to be completed.

• Select a topic and supervisor: Find a research topic and an academic supervisor.

• Declaration of intent: Notify your supervisor of your intention to enrol in the module.

• Administration: The official registration and module administration will be handled by your supervisor with the assistance of the Faculty TDT leaders.

• Supervisor form: Your supervisor must complete the registration form available at https://tdk.sze.hu/valaszthatotargy.

• Application deadline: 30 September 2026.
